Hey all!

I saw Avatar on Saturday and I have to say, it lived up to all the hype and then some. No wonder no one has anything really bad to say about it. It's beautiful, unique, awe-inspiring and deeply moving. :D For me, anyway.

Yes, the storyline may be a slightly predictable one but that doesn't matter. It is told with such a visionary expertise and originality that it doesn't matter if you can tell what's going to happen. It just doesn't matter because all the predictability and 'seen-that-before' about it is shoved beneath the awesome effects and the beautiful acting and just wow. I can't really articulate enough just how amazing a movie it is.

I loved it.

I really liked it, too (although the chanting part bothered me; still, that wasn't the main focus of the movie). I don't know why people got so upset about it having a hidden environment agenda; sure, it was there, but it was obvious, and to me, it just seemed like something to move the plot forward, not a greenie PSA. Did you see it in 3D? You should see it in 3D!

I agree with that. There's nothing wrong with hidden messages ('hidden' that is). They're in almost everything so people freaking out about it is a bit odd. ^^; I saw it in 3D, yes!

Interesting. I didn't see it 2D because all the cinemas around here are only showing 3D. ^^; I found myself drawn into the movie and completely forgot that I was even watching a movie, let alone not there in the actual world. I'm not sure if that is because of the 3D or if it can solely be attributed to fantastic storytelling. Oo

Bleh. All the people talking against it are silly.

I was very afraid that I would hate Avatar because of all of the sci-fi elements to it, but I absolutely fell in love with the movie. It kept me interested the entire time.
There were some predictable things about the storyline, yes, but it didn't make it any less compelling. :)

I agree wholeheartedly. Saw the movie three times in the cinema and wouldn't be ashamed to go see it again. ^_^
